I’ll come right out and say it, I love to eat. But I realized pretty quickly how important it is to be mindful of what you put into your body. Whether you’re trying to lose weight or not, making healthier choices or substitutions when it comes to food will always always be a good thing.
If/When you start trying to lose weight it is a struggle to find snack options that are not only delicious but healthy enough to still keep you within your calorie goals. Trust me I know that struggle. I mean it’s easy to plan out your three main meals for the day but what about that time between these meals? Or when you just feel snackish? That is why I wanted to share with you guys my 5 go to healthy snack ideas. The snack ideas in this post you guys are so easy to make, so delicious and of course low in calories. They are yummy healthy snack options for whether you’re tying to lose weight or not!

1. Frozen Yogurt Bark With Berries and Nuts

This is one of my favorite snacks because it is so easy to make in “bulk” because you can just grab whenever you want some. This is a healthy snack because you use like the least amount of ingredients and it is still a yummy snack. And you can modify it to make as healthy as you want, like using plain yogurt instead of flavored or using sweetener instead of sugar.
2. Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Honey Oat Bars

I love these peanut butter and honey oatmeal bars because not only are they a healthy snack they are high in protein (from the peanut butter and the oats) which make them very filling
3. Strawberry Fruit Roll-Ups

It is almost insane how easy it is to make these yummy fruit roll ups. All you need is literally three ingredients (strawberries, lemon juice and some maple syrup) and you can make yourself this easy healthy snack.

Nuts are an amazing snack for when you’re trying to lose weight because they are high in protein and keep you full for longer. This simple peanuts recipe my go to because it is so yummy and easy to make. You can use whatever nuts you have available and your favorite garlicy seasoning and just roast everything to perfection.
Just a little disclaimer… I just want to mention that while it is important to be conscious and mindful of what you put into your body, you don’t want to develop an unhealthy relationship with food. If one day you’re craving that big family-sized bag of Doritos, you have that bag. It won’t kill you. Just always listen to your body because obviously only you know it best.
