This post is all about finding easy, effortless yet cute ways to add a pop of red to your outfits.

Oh, red is having its moment right now! But that statement begs the question, when has it ever not been having its moment, eh?! We’ve all always loved the color red in fashion but it seems like lately that love has soared to new heights!

So we all know the color red is bright, passionate, bold. It can represent a lot of things like romance, fire, sexiness, and a little bit of danger. In fashion, the color red can be a bold choice. It makes you stand out and if you own it, you become this embodiment of like confidence and sexiness.

One of this years latest (and hottest) trend is the pop of red trend. It’s a fun way to style your outfits with a bold red element.

Obviously the color red has so many different shades and variations and each one will invoke a different tone or feeling to your outfit. For example bright cherry reds will give you that confident, bold look depending on how you style it (think of something like a bright red long evening gown, a dress like that would be sexy, bold and would out!).

Darker, more burgundy shades of red would bring this feeling of elegance, maybe even a little romance to any look. These deeper shades of reds don’t stand out as much out and because of that they are definitely easier to wear and style. Burgundy red is a great way to add color to a look in an understated way.

How to Spice up your wardrobe by adding a Little Pop of Red To Your OUTFITS

With a Bright Scarf

Honestly a red scarf is such an easy way to add that pop of color you are looking for without too much effort. the beauty about a red scarf is how you could probably throw it over any outfit and instantly have an iconic look. It’s the kind of thing you throw on that is effortless but is eye-catchy and trendy.

And speaking of trendy, a super cool and popular way to style the red scarf look is with a pair of red socks for whatever shoes you choose to style your outfit with but they gotta be long enough to peek through. If you don’t want to go the red socks route, then another nice way to tie in the look is with some red shoes (like those red adidas that have been trending lately!)

With a Bow

Just like the red scarf, a red hair bow is another super easy to add that pop of color to your look! A bow is super cute and easy and a great way to add red unto your outfit. You want to pick bright shades of red for this look for that extra pop of color, you don’t want something that will just blend into your hair, after all that would defeat the entire purpose of the look.

If you want to go extra you can accessorize a red bow with a pair of red sneakers and it tries everything together!

With a Baseball Cap

A little unconventional if you’re not a baseball cap girlie but trust that it works. You can wear a regular baseball cap on virtually any casual outfit and have it look normal, but somehow if you make it red and it becomes this chic little style piece that pretty much levels up your entire look.

With a Red Handbag

Style your outfit of the day and then just grab a red handbag to add a little bit of that extra pop of color to your outfit. Think about it, if you don’t want to add any red elements to your actual look then a red purse is such an easy way to add that trendy red pop without having to do to much. Plus there a ton of cute red purses out there, so either ways you would be adding something new and cute to your wardrobe.

With a Casual Red Top with Jeans

There are so many ways you can incorporate a pop of red into your look. A long sleeved red top is the kind of effortless piece of clothing you can reach for on a casual day out. A simple red top with a pair of jeans is an outfit you can’t have any complaints about. Sometimes you just gotta appreciate a simple outfit.

A bright red top over jeans is fun and playful and totally the outfit you wear when you’re feeling a little spicy or a little flirty.

For those chilly days you can totally swap out a regular long sleeved top for a sweater, it works just as well over denim jeans. There is just something so stylish about a red sweater over blue or black jeans.

With a Top/Sweater Styled With Pleated Mini Skirt

A cute light sweater is good way to jump into this trend. If you’ve styled pleated mini skirts before then you know they look especially good with cute light sweaters with a little tuck. The only difference is using a bright red sweater instead so that you get that pretty pop of color. It’s such an easy outfit to put together If you want to: a red long sleeved sweater, a pleated mini skirt, some see-through tights (and some chunky boots (totally must-have for this kinda outfit!)).

You can have so much fun with a outfit like this, there are so many options to pick from when it comes to sweater types or pleated skirt types. You can go for a loose pleat or a fight pleat depending on what you prefer. And when it comes to styling a red sweater, black and red is always a good combination but you can try white and red as well, it’s a combination that really pops.

With a Pleated Midi Skirt

Red pleated skirts are surprisingly versatile. You know what?! A long or midi length red pleated skirt should something everyone has in their wardrobe. They are bold, yet chic and classy. A combination that is totally eye catching.

There are so many ways in which you can style a red midi skirt. White and red is a gorgeous combination, so you could try pairing the red skirt with something like a white turtleneck sweater for a look that is more chic, elegant and stylish. Or you could go for a white t-shirt or a spaghetti strap cowl neck top to pair with your red pleated midi skirt for a more casual look.

Obviously you can totally mix it up with the colors for the top, it doesn’t just have to be white. Black is always good, and so is pink, if you want a little color block moment.

Here’s why you have to start adding a pop of red to your outfits! Red is such a stunning color to incorporate into your wardrobe. Red is what I would call a main character color. If you want to feel more like a main character then you totally gotta start wearing a little bit of red more often.

What people don’t realize is that it is actually quite easy to incorporate red into your wardrobe. You don’t have to go full head to toe red. This post has definitely shown that you can simply throw on a little bow or maybe a handbag or even a pair of shoes and that is enough to add that little pop of red to a look and elevate it.
