Finding herself suddenly stuck at home for the summer, she takes up a dog walking job to get herself out of the house. Her summer gets unexpectedly filled with cute puppies, cute boys and the cutest romance.

This is literally the best book you could possible read this summer. If you’re going to pick up any book, it should be this one. Dip your toes into Taiwan and Taiwanese culture with this fun summer romance about a girl forced (by her parents) to attend a summer school in Taipei. It’s supposed to be this strict school that shapes you up for college and the future after that. But what it actually ends up being is so different from what most parents would uhmm expect. Her summer ends up being filled with crazy adventures and some very saucy romantic situations.

The Deal is a fun and sexy college sports romance book. It’s probably one of the best sports romance books out there. It’s a hocky player romance which is always good and on top of that it’s funny, sexy and kinda heartfelt (or as heartfelt as a sexy college sports romance can be…).

Hilariously funny, The Unhoneymooners is a great enemies to lovers story about a maid-of-honor and a best-man who luckily or (maybe unluckily) end up getting a free vacation together when the bride and groom get violently sick at their wedding and cannot go on their honeymoon…

I mean it’s literally in the title, this is a beach read, and a freaking good one at that. Written by the queen of romance herself Emily Henry. Beach Read is about two writers who end up in neighboring beach houses during their summer vacation. And they could not be more different; one is like a literally fiction author and the other a romance author. So of course a challenge is issued. They have to swap genres. Over the summer they both have to get out of their comfort zones and write a book in the genre of the other person. This leads to so many crazy adventures and maybe even love.

The Worst Best Man is so much fun and definitely a must read beach read if you’re looking for something light, fun and sexy. Honestly the perfect summer read. So it’s about a wedding planner who makes people’s dreams come true but gets left at the alter of her own wedding. After picking herself up from the whole fiasco, her business gets a great opportunity. The only catch, she has to work with the man that was the best man at her failed wedding! You can imagine how she takes this news. The only question that’s there is, can she make it through this job this man?

Another absolutely amazing and fun book that you will definitely love if you haven’t read it already. And this time it has a touch of magic in it! It’s a book about a heart-broken girl cursing her ex-boyfriend (actually cursing, like with magic). It was supposed to be a harmless curse, one done during a stupid drunken night. But let’s just say the curse was not so harmless, and she ends up threating the lives of herself and everyone she loves. So she must team up with her ex to find a way to break the curse and save everyone. But can she do it without strangling him first?

Who doesn’t love ice-cream and Italy? Well you can find both of those things in this stunning little book by Jenna Evans Welch that’ll have you dreaming about strolling around beautiful Italy in the summer with an equally beautiful hot Italian guy. But aside from that, this is such a beautiful, heartfelt book that everyone needs to read. It’s about grief and self-discovery in the face of tremendous loss and of course love and cute boys!

This is another amazing fake dating, enemies-to-lovers, oversees romance that you will just absolutely devour. It has all the delicious tropes we that all just love to love. The Spanish Love deception is basically about this girl that tells a not-so-teeny lie to her family about her amazing boyfriend (that doesn’t exist). Now it’s her sisters wedding and everyone expects her to show up with her boyfriend! She only has weeks to find someone willing to fly to Spain with her to attend this wedding. Her workplace nemesis offers to step in and help her out and seeing as she’s desperate, she agrees!

One of the better romance books, I’ve read. There is something about Beth O’Leary’s writing that’s unhurried and sweet and meaningful. Her books always have that slow sweet romantic vibe. The Flat Share follows two people living in the same flat that never actually really see each other. You see one of them is a night shift nurse and the other works during the day, so their paths never cross even though they share the same flat. But start to get to know each other, and fall in love through little notes and things that they leave for each other around the flat.

Icebreaker is another really great book to read during the summer, on the beach. It’s another college sports romance (with hockey players, we love those). One thing I’ll say about this book is that it’s not as fluffy as most romance books out there but it’s still funny and sweet and definitely one you’ll like.

I think we all know (and love) Jenny Han from her To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before series, but she has this other (equally as good!) book series! And it just like To All the Boys, it was adapted into a pretty good show. The Summer I Turned Pretty is definitely the perfect YA summer read as it is set at a beach house during the summer time and it is filled with romance and heartbreak and everything in between.

This is not your typical happy, sunshine filled romance book. Honestly the entire thing is absolutely heartbreaking. But you know what, sometimes you need a good cry on the beach. Reminders of Him by Colleen Hoover will absolutely destroy you. It’s definitely one of Colleens best books, trust me.

Kisses and Croissants is such a cute, travel romance (which are always the best!) that is kinda like a cross between Anna and The French Kiss and Love and Gelato. It’s set in Paris, during the summer! (like what’s more romantic?!). This book is about ballet, cute boys and perfect summer adventures in a beautiful city.
